Yes, Pete Wentz and Ashlee are getting married today - think of them as the American Peter Philips and his fiancée - and a "pal" of the happy couple has been blabbing to Us magazine about all the details. Including the part which asks guests "to dress in dark colors". (Note: not "colours". They're American guests). "[Guests] have been asked to wear cocktail attire, but to not be overdressed," added the pal.
Us also reveals that a "massive white tent with bright red curtains" has been erected in Ashlee's parents' garden in Encino, California - and "a seating area around a fireplace adorned with a cross" has also been set up.
Hmm... dark clothes... A cross... Fire... Altogether now: "It's a nice day/For a gothic wedding..."

 So, they came, they saw - they sang and danced in the rain.
Yes, as promised, here's the video of New Kids On The Block performing for the first time in 15 years, on yesterday's Today show. They do a medley of their old hits and everything!
And as for how they looked? Well, put it this way: I'm rapidly coming to the conclusion, watching NKOTB, Benji Madden and their ilk - as I do most days - that every American male aged between 20 and 40 is currently dressing like one of the Blues Brothers. Or in the case of New Kids On The Block: like five of the Blues Brothers.
And there weren't even five Blues Brothers! Go, as they say in America, figure.

 Chelsy Davy was snapped on the streets of Leeds yesterday, looking great in jeans, flats and sunnies. Because even posh students dress like this, you know. Isn't fashion democratic?
As you can see, Chelsy was doing a spot of last-minute revision as she made her way down the street - this photo was taken shortly before she walked into a lamppost - and while most commentators would imagine that this was swotting ahead of her exams, I like to think she was actually genning up ahead of meeting the Queen for the first time tomorrow at the latest royal wedding.
Yes, the nuptials of Peter Phillips and Autumn Kelly are taking place at Windsor Castle on Saturday. And while Kate Middleton will be there sans Prince William (he's going to another posh wedding in Africa), Chelsy will be attending with Prince Harry - who will use the occasion to formally introduce her to his grandmother, aka Queen Elizabeth II.
So, as I say: here was Chelsy Davy looking at her crib sheet ahead of tomorrow's Big Event. Revising point one ("Do not look The Queen in the eye or she may attack"), point two ("Do not drag The Queen onto the dancefloor when We Are Family starts playing") - and many more points which I couldn't possibly divulge because they're state secrets, or not true.

 Sorry: lights up in Cannes.
Yes, Lily Allen is still doing us proud on the French Riviera - laughing off those topless pics, and lighting up in the street as she walks around looking not unlike a British Lindsay Lohan. Albeit it with Jennifer Aniston-style shoes.
Still, the girl may be wearing denim mini skirts and red sunglasses by day - but it looks like we can expect something different by night, judging by those Chanel and Jimmy Choo shopping bags she's carrying.

 The clearly very happily married Beyonce Knowles was looking very smiley - and not unlike a 1930s American paper boy - as she stepped out in New York this week. Although maybe it's not just being married, or being a paper boy, that's making her beam from ear to ear.
Because word from the States is that Bouncy has landed a cameo role in Desperate Housewives - and may be joining the cast permanently.
"They've already agreed to give Beyonce a cameo appearance," a source in the Knowles camp (and it's definitely camp) told MediaTakeOut.com, "But [we're] hoping that [she] could be written in for a recurring role, or possibly even a permanent one."
Is that the sound of Eva Longoria Parker quaking in her heels that I hear? Possibly. Or it could be Teri Hatcher.
